The Finishing Touch in Mazda Car Designs

When we talk about any car manufacturing brand, we can’t overlook the fact, how they finish each of their model designs, and that certainly stands as one of those unsaid factors because of which a brand gets popular and gains respect from the worldwide car lovers. Mazda is one such brand that is specially known for its embellished designs and their finishing touch that adds some extra layer of attraction for people who appreciate aesthetic presentation. On this issue we spoke to both the sellers and the customers of the car dealerships near Monterey who had similar views on the aspect that Mazda really touches the heart through the impeccable design but more because of the finishing touch that makes the impression stronger on any onlooker.

The Overall Painting Job

The people who are involved in the entire process of painting any model being released say that they follow two major steps for the job. They start with paint adjustment and then with the application of the spray. All the staff who are into this painting job agrees to the point that the ability of consistently and constantly reproducing the same colors and their particular shades are the most critical part in the paint job done to a car.

Where Can it go Wrong

The experts say that after any color has been painted on the car body might look stunning, but if that is not the prescribed or intended color, that means it has failed to serve the purpose of the design intent.

Mazda’s “Soul Red” Color

If you are a car enthusiast, you will probably know, car models do introduce and behold a particular color shade that many refer to others with the car model name. For Mazda it is the “Soul Red” color that carries the brand identity and has already become an iconic body color for most Mazda models. But bringing this “soul red” color is a tough job for the painters working under the Mazda manufacturing unit. And they revealed to us, why.

According to a Mazda Painter, a single color is firstly created by adding different layers of multiple colors. Each of those colors has to be perfectly rendered to achieve the exact color intended by the designers who visualized the design with that particular shade.

While describing the Soul Red color creation, the Mazda Painter said, it is indeed a deep red color, that needs to represent the vibrant nature of the imaginative soul who would ride the Mazda and the color should match the same spirit as the driver drives it with.

But reproduction of such a particular shade of color requires spraying of a large amount of it. The final finish will depend only on this quality of the application that was sprayed. If it gets more intense or lighter than what was intended, the finish will not have the desired look.

Years of Practice and Experience

Perfection can never develop overnight, says the expert head of painters at the car dealers in Monterey. To achieve the perfect finish on the car body, the painter needs to check the color particles, make the colors set, verify the color shades, their consistency, intensity and luster. And all this can evolve only over several years of experience.
